Community Engagement and Sponsorships
The University of Idaho often sponsors community events or initiatives. Our goal is to pair the U of I experience with other strong brands, increasing the reputation of both entities and building positive engagement within the community. We want to be more than just a name on a sign: We want to bring a bit of ourselves to the event.
Selected sponsorships are chosen based on their alignment with the university's mission and vision, reach and overlap with U of I target audiences.
All sponsorship opportunities must be negotiated through the university purchasing office, a process the marketing team facilitates on your behalf. If you are interested in sponsoring an event, please work with your marketing manager or the marketing team.
How do I get my event sponsored?
If you are an external organization or community looking to have an event or activity sponsored by the University of Idaho, email [email protected] and provide the following information:
- Event or Initiative Title
- Contact Name
- Contact Email
- Contact Phone Number
- Desired Investment ($) Amount
- Message Reach (Event Attendance plus Promotional Reach)
- Audience Size and Demographics
- Event Location
- Outline of Proposed Benefits for U of I
Sponsorships for the upcoming year are selected in October each year. Plan to have your event’s details to the marketing team for review on or before Sept. 1 each year.
Units may also sponsor events tied to their area of focus, independent of central funding. If your proposal is related to a specific academic area, refine and send your proposal to the appropriate marketing and communications manager.
