Design the Built Environment

With a master’s degree in architecture from our nationally accredited program, you will gain the professional training needed to become a licensed architect. Much of this training occurs in the design studio, which is a unique classroom experience focused on learning through making, and typically involves 15 students and a professor closely working together for nine hours a week. This experience culminates with a final design project that allows students to pursue their own individual interests in architecture. Students choose both the focus of the project and a faculty mentor to guide the project.

Students seeking a college town vibe can get their master’s in architecture at our main campus in Moscow. Those interested in a more urban setting can study at our Boise center. Applications are made through the College of Graduate Studies and are due February 1 for summer and fall term admission. Spring admissions are by special permission only.
