Congressional & Government Internships
Have you thought about a legislative Internship in Idaho’s Statehouse in Boise?
During the spring legislative session (January through April), full-time internships are available with the Legislative Services Office, with the Joint Finance and Appropriations Committee, and with similar Legislative groups and committees. These internships offer you a glimpse into the inner workings of local and state government and give you the opportunity to network with legislators and business leaders across the state. Academic credit is usually available through your academic department.
Recruitment of spring legislative interns begins in the fall semester. Please contact the offices below for more information and an application form.

Consider interning at the Idaho governor’s office. Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter is seeking University of Idaho students to assist his office. These internships will give you a glimpse into the day-to-day operations of the chief executive´s office and give you the opportunity to network with government leaders across the state. Academic credit is usually available through your academic department.
Internships are available during the fall, spring and summer. Recruitment deadlines for interns are as follows:

D.C. Internships with Idaho’s Senators and Congressmen
Idaho’s elected leaders in Washington, D.C. are seeking interns from the University of Idaho. These internships offer valuable experience for any major, and provide students and recent alumni with valuable networking opportunities. Internship positions are available for fall, spring and summer terms. In addition to internships in their Washington, D.C. office, internships may also be available at their state offices in Boise and their regional offices around the state.
