Eco-Ambassadors is a student environmental leadership program that promotes sustainable lifestyles across University of Idaho living communities. Eco-Ambassadors will work together throughout the year on sustainability initiatives.
- The Greek Eco-Ambassador program is open to all student members of a fraternity or sorority on campus, as internship credit.
- The Housing Eco-Ambassador program is open to all students living in residence halls on campus, as internship credit.
Representatives support the university’s Climate Action Plan through peer education, projects and outreach events. Eco-Ambassadors strive to be models of environmental consciousness and challenge their peers to adopt a culture of sustainability.

Eco-Ambassadors will roll out a new Sustainability Center program, Green Certification Program, to the UI Moscow Campus. Eco-Ambassadors will promote Green Certification to peers in their residence hall or Greek house and walk them through the Certification process.
The Green Certification Program at the University of Idaho enables staff, faculty, and students to practice sustainable operations and behaviors by giving them tools for green living. Certification is based on practices in action areas such as energy conservation, green meetings, paper conservation, publications and marketing communications, purchasing, waste diversion, transportation, and more.
