Vandals at the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl
The Idaho Vandals emerged victorious and remain undefeated in bowl games with Thursday’s win in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl at Boise.
The Paul Petrino-led Vandals bested Colorado State in Albertsons Stadium to cap off the team’s best season in seven years. Idaho finishes the season 9-4 overall and 6-2 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Thursday’s victory in front of a near-home game crowd also places the Vandals with a 3-0 all-time record in bowl games following 1998 and 2009 Humanitarian Bowl wins. Idaho hopes to build on that success when the Vandals take the field for the 2017 campaign next fall at the Kibbie Dome.
