More U of I Scholarships

The University of Idaho provides $7.8 million in special scholarships not connected to specific majors or academic areas of study in the colleges:

Academic Support & Access Programs

ASAP offers a variety of scholarships to students with documented physical disabilities, sensory impairments and learning disabilities. Students who participate in the Student Support Services (TRiO) program are also eligible.

Alumni Association

The alumni programs provide awards to students affiliated with U of I alumni or retirees. Student leadership in the Student Alumni Relations Board (SARB) is also recognized.


Student recipients of athletic scholarships must be tendered athletes who are members of an intercollegiate athletic team at the university. In addition, the student athlete must be in good academic standing.

Corporate Affiliations

The corporate affiliation program provides awards to members, children or spouses affiliated with the corporation.


Students from diverse backgrounds who are looking for scholarship opportunities and support services should visit the Office of Multicultural Affairs.

IME Becas Scholarship Grant is a program funded by the Mexican government to assist undergraduate students of Mexican origin. Undocumented students, including those that have or have not received DACA, would be eligible to apply for this scholarship. *This is a privately funded scholarship. For scholarship consideration, complete the University of Idaho Application for Admissions and Contact Monze Stark by Aug. 1 at [email protected] or 111-111-8925.

General University

The University of Idaho awards general scholarships to students in all areas of study.

High School/Regional

These scholarships for students from certain high schools or counties are selected in cooperation with outside committees and may require separate applications. See your high school counselor for further details.

High School/Regional-U of I

The university selects graduates of certain high schools or residents of particular counties as specified by the award criteria for these scholarships.


To be considered, students must apply to and be accepted into the U of I Honor's Program. For more information regarding honors scholarships, please visit the University Honors Program website.

International Programs

The International Programs Office provides awards to U of I students who study abroad as well as International students attending the University. For more information about scholarships, please visit the International Programs Office website.

Living Groups

Scholarships are available to students who are affiliated with certain living groups or U of I residence halls.

Greek Life

Scholarships are available to students who are affiliated with Greek life, to include fraternities and sororities.

Non-Traditional Students

Scholarships are available to some students who are considered non-traditional given their age, marital and/or parental status.

Organizational Affiliations

U of I students involved in extra-curricular activities will be considered for scholarships provided by certain clubs, honoraries, and other organizations on campus.


The Air Force, Army and Navy ROTC programs provide awards to students who are participating in a U of I ROTC program.

WWAMI (Medical Education Program)

Scholarships are available to WWAMI students as they continue their medical studies at the University of Washington.
