My name is Mary Condon and you inspire my future.
When I first came to the University of Idaho, I honestly had no idea what I wanted to study. I started exploring subjects by taking the university required classes and found my passion for philosophy. Studying philosophy taught me to articulate my thoughts in a very organized and concise fashion — a skill that will prove valuable in all my future endeavors.
Our exceptional philosophy professors at the University of Idaho inspire me. Jay Feldman, Graham Hubbs and Carl Mickelsen have all fueled my passion for studying philosophy. They always push and encourage us to become ethical, thoughtful and contributing members of society.
In addition to studying philosophy, I also am on the Vandal Women’s Soccer Team. Being a student-athlete takes discipline and patience. It has taught me to work together as a team and to focus on the task at hand and put aside any personal issues in order to achieve my goals.
Your gift makes it possible for me and others to pursue our passions in philosophy. I work very hard to help pay my way through college, but scholarships help me cover the cost of my tuition and books. Your gift allows me to excel in my education, both on and off the field. Please take a moment to continue your tradition of giving and make a donation today.
P.S. Giving to philosophy helps students like me focus on our passions.
