Contacting Human Resources

The Human Resources department supports the overall vision, goals and objectives of the University of Idaho by providing a wide variety of personnel services. Specifically, through the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, processes and programs, including the recruitment, development and retention of a competent, diverse and talented professional, academic and support personnel population.

The Department of Human Resources is comprised of an administrative office and three organizational units.

The Executive Director provides leadership in advancing the university’s strategic plan and giving managers the tools they need to attract, develop and retain a highly committed workforce. They provide guidance, oversee or actively manage employment services, benefit services, performance management, employee relations, classification and compensation, employment-related legal and risk management and professional development and learning.

Brandi provides direction, management and leadership to the HR functional areas and directly supervises or oversees Employment Services, Benefit Services and the front office staff. She acts as a liaison between HR and external constituencies to facilitate communication and to ensure the coordination of HR programs and services. Brandi is also responsible for the planning, implementing and administering of the university’s comprehensive medical, dental, life, disability, leave and other benefit programs.

Mindi coordinates and oversees front office customer service functions and also performs administrative tasks that support the operations of the Human Resources department. She oversees I-9 compliance and employee personnel and benefit records retention. She also performs tasks that aid customers university-wide, including supervisor set-ups and campus directory modification access verifying and processing I-9s, assembles employee personnel files, updates Banner with employee information, updates and grants modification access to the campus directory.

Tasha serves as a front-end contact for the Human Resources department, providing customer service by phone, email and in person, acts as a liaison to the Benefits and Payroll teams and provides overall administrative support to the department.  She assists new employees with their on-boarding paperwork and assists with processing I-9s and verifying employment eligibility.

The Business Partners provide generalist services (with specialist expertise) in a variety of HR areas and serve as the primary contact for their assigned colleges and departments. The primary areas of service and expertise are:

Myung processes faculty, exempt, classified and student/temporary Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAFS) and provides customer service on the EPAF process by phone, email and in person. She trains departmental users in HR Query and EPAF processes. She updates the Banner system and ensures compliance with applicable laws at the state and federal level.

Mandy  coordinates the administration of the University’s applicant tracking system for prospective and current employees.  Mandy serves as a primary HR resource for prospective employees providing assistance as needed.  Mandy serves as the HR resource for dual career accommodations and other recruitment resource needs.  She assists with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, provides training and ensures compliance.
