Vandals statewide are engaged in recruiting the 19th president of the University of Idaho. This inclusive process is led by the Idaho State Board of Education, and many opportunities are available for involvement.
Partnering with executive search firm , and led by the Regents of the University Idaho, the goal is to identify the next president in early 2019.

The Presidential Review Committee has met and reviewed the applications of candidates for the president of the University of Idaho. The applicants bring strong skills and genuine interest in the future of the university. The committee is looking forward to learning more about these candidates in the first round of interviews in the coming week. Five finalists will be named at the end of these interviews, but at present, the search process and candidate names remain confidential.
Around the first of March, the five finalists will visit the Moscow campus and meet with many of you. The process is moving swiftly, and we appreciate your support. Understand the notice prior to these visits may be short. We hope that you will be flexible and make every effort to meet the candidates and provide input. The search website will continue to have feedback capability, so please use it, especially during the finalists’ visit.
While the candidates may not be taken on statewide tours like prior searches you may remember, we want to give the faculty, staff and students at our centers the opportunity to meet the candidates through regional ZOOM meetings and to provide their valuable feedback.

(EMSI), an independent and respected economic analysis firm located in Idaho, released a study showing that Idaho's investment in the state's land-grant university provided cumulative impact of more than $1 billion in FY 2013-14.
