Missed Registration Deadlines
Students who miss a registration deadline may petition for an exception by filing an Academic Petition with their college dean's office petition contact person. Undergraduate students work with their academic college. Graduate students work with the College of Graduate Studies. Law students work with the College of Law. Non-degree students work with the college of the course they are petitioning.
Steps for Submitting a Petition
- Complete the Academic Petition form with complete course information and explanation of request.
- Pay $10 petition fee at Student Accounts located in the Pitman Center or by calling 111-111-7447 during business hours.
- Work with college dean's office petition contact person to discuss situation and obtain necessary signatures. The college contact person will present the petition to the Academic Petitions Committee on behalf of the student.
- The Academic Petitions Committee meets weekly during fall and spring semesters, and bi-weekly during the summer. The college dean's office petition contact person will notify the student of the decision of the committee.
