Parking and Transportation Services
Welcome! Your University of Idaho Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) team is focused on keeping U of I moving. As we grow, it’s imperative that we become a campus where a personally owned vehicle is not required to meet commuter and campus resident mobility needs. Our beautiful Moscow community is easily traversed by most on foot or bicycle, and when you need to get around more quickly or go longer distances, alternative transportation options are available. Vandal Access Service provides Vandals with mobility-limiting disabilities access to facilities and programs on campus. If you need to bring a car to campus, please understand that parking on campus is limited and a permit will be required.
We are here to help! If you have questions, contact us at 111-111-6424, [email protected] or in person at 1006 Railroad Street, at the corner of Railroad Street and W. Sweet Avenue. We're located inside the Intermodal Transit Center ().

Fall Break Parking: Parking regulations during academic breaks are different than when school is in session!
- Overnight parking during fall break is valid only in Purple, Silver and Purple Economy parking lots (see map)
- No overnight parking is allowed on any campus streets during break. Vehicles in violation may be cited and/or towed
- No permit is required for daytime parking in regular spaces of Blue, Red, Orange, Purple, Silver or Purple Economy lots during fall break. Overnight parking enforcement is in effect.
- Important Note: Regular enforcement resumes at 2 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26. Please make sure your vehicle returns to the appropriate lot before then!
- Gold and Green parking lots, meters and all specially marked spaces are enforced as usual during academic breaks.
Temporary Street Closure - A traffic flow study will temporarily close three streets and Gold Lot 35 on the first day of Fall Break; Monday, November 19. University Avenue (from Deakin to Ash Street), Ash Street (from University Avenue to Idaho Avenue), and Idaho Avenue (from Ash Street to Deakin) along with Gold Lot 35 will be closed between 8 and 9 a.m. (see map).
In preparation for this closure, all vehicles must be removed from these streets no later than 2 a.m. Monday morning. During academic breaks, no overnight street parking ( 2 – 6 a.m.) is allowed on campus. Vehicles already parked in Gold Lot 35 before 8 a.m. Monday November 19 may remain during the street closure but cannot leave the parking lot until 9 a.m.
Since it will be Fall Break, permits are not required for daytime parking in regular spaces in all Blue, Red, Orange, Silver, and Purple lots. Nearby lots available for alternate daytime parking during this closure include Purple Lot 36 (University & Deakin), Orange Lot 6 (College & Railroad) and Orange Lot 41 (Deakin & Sweet Ave.). Thank you for your patience during this study!
